Terms of Service

Last updated: [DATE — fill in on publish]

These terms govern your use of NxtShyft ("NxtShyft," "we," "us"), a hyperlocal hourly job marketplace connecting job seekers with local businesses. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create a job-seeker account. Users under 18 require parental consent, collected during signup, before they can apply to jobs. Some job listings set a higher minimum age, which we verify against the date of birth on file before allowing an application. Employer accounts must be created by someone authorized to hire on behalf of their business.

2. Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.

3. For job seekers

Creating a profile and applying to jobs is free. You control what goes in your profile (photo, video, bio, resume, availability) and can edit or remove it at any time. By applying to a job, you authorize us to share your profile and application with that employer.

4. For employers

Posting jobs requires an active paid subscription, billed through Stripe according to the plan you select. Your first job posting stays in draft — not visible to job seekers — until you've selected a plan and completed payment. You can pause or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings; your data and past postings are preserved if you do. You agree to post only real, lawful job opportunities and not to discriminate against applicants on any basis prohibited by applicable law.

5. Payments and billing

Employer subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you selected until canceled. Payment is processed by Stripe; we don't store your full card details. Prices and plans are set by NxtShyft and may change — we'll make current pricing available on the Pricing page. [Refund policy — fill in your actual policy here.]

6. Communications

By using the platform you'll receive account-related emails necessary to its operation (e.g., verification, password resets). Optional email and SMS notifications about application activity require you to separately opt in from your account's Notification Preferences — see our SMS Notifications page for details on text messaging specifically, including how to opt out.

7. Content you provide

You keep ownership of the content you upload (photos, videos, bios, resumes, job descriptions). By posting it, you grant NxtShyft a license to store, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the platform — for example, showing your seeker profile to employers you apply to, or your job posting to seekers browsing the board. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to post whatever you upload, and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights or applicable law.

8. Prohibited conduct

9. Termination

You can stop using NxtShyft and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or pose a risk to other users or the platform.

10. Disclaimers

NxtShyft is a marketplace that connects job seekers and employers — we are not a party to any employment relationship formed through the platform, and we don't guarantee the accuracy of job listings or applicant information, or that any particular match will result in employment.
